Matthew Comer, the winner of the first Route 66 Ambassador contest, visited Pontiac twice during his whirlwind tour of the "Mother Road" in Illinois.  Comer, who hails from Manchester, England, was selected from a pool of over 100 international applicants, and won the honor of traveling Route 66 and visiting many of the most historic sites along the highway.

Comer is a photographer/videographer by profession.  He and his travelling companion, Leah, were in Pontiac for a few hours on Friday, and then returned to the city on Sunday, staying overnight, and then taking a walking tour of the Murals on Main Street, the Route 66 Museum, and the Walldog Mural Museum on Monday.
